Science-media dialogue on climate and biodiversity

On June 8, 50 academic experts and media professionals from the French-speaking part of Switzerland gathered for the “Rencontre participative Science-Média sur le climat et la biodiversité” (Science-media dialogue on climate and biodiversity) organized by CLIMACT in collaboration with Nous Prod and IMI. The aim of the evening was to explore new ways of working together to catalyze change towards a more sustainable and resilient society and to achieve the climate goals set for 2030.

The event began with an introduction by CLIMACT’s Executive Director and representatives from UNIL and EPFL. Scientific and media experts then took the floor to present the results of recent studies and provide some insights into how climate issues are covered by mainstream media. Representatives from Nous Prod and IMI then took the floor to present potential solutions. Finally, the program ended with a panel discussion entitled “Besoins & contraintes : quelles solutions pour collaborer plus efficacement ?” (Needs & limitations: what solutions for more effective collaboration?).
